Meet Our Executive and Artstic Director
Brianna Deveraux-Allen
DNA is under the direction of Brianna Deveraux-Allen, locally celebrated choreographer, director, educator and co-owner of Flex Performing Arts. Brianna is writer and director of Storytellers, which has become a beloved holiday tradition for many local families, and of the upcoming Everlight, an ambitious new production that invites audiences on a journey through time, imagination and the timeless balance between light and darkness. Brianna is passionate about creating original works and providing meaningful opportunities for artists. Her hope with DNA is to build a creative home where storytelling, collaboration, and the performing arts can thrive.

We believe that stories have the ability to inspire, connect, challenge, and transform us, and that every community deserves opportunities to experience and create meaningful artistic work.

Founded by the creative team behind Storytellers and Everlight, DNA was established to champion original productions, support emerging artists, and provide opportunities for creativity to flourish. While our roots are in dance and musical theater, our vision reaches far beyond the stage. We believe the arts are at their best when they bring people together, spark imagination, and give voice to stories that deserve to be told.

Today, DNA proudly produces original theatrical experiences while laying the foundation for something much bigger. Our long-term vision includes educational programs, festivals, scholarships, community outreach, and opportunities for artists of all ages and disciplines. We hope to grow into a creative hub where performers, musicians, writers, composers, visual artists, filmmakers, and storytellers can collaborate, create, and inspire one another.

Our dream is to help make the Central Coast a destination for the arts. A place where creativity is celebrated, local artists are supported, and audiences can experience exceptional original work right here in our own community.
